These regions have tremendous mission sending potential to help bring the gospel to unreached peoples, but they currently send only 20% of the world’s cross-cultural missionaries!

This powerful question inspired a group of passionate young Christian leaders from across Asia to imagine a movement that connects and empowers other young leaders. Together, they dreamed of equipping these leaders to bring the gospel to communities that have never encountered it. Their vision? To see a wave of young believers boldly transform lives in their neighborhoods and beyond. That dream became Arise Asia.

Milestones in the Movement

Thailand: Mobilizing 1,800 Young Leaders

In July 2023, Arise Asia gathered about 1,800 young leaders in Thailand for a five-day event focused on inspiration and empowerment. In partnership with Via, the event featured workshops designed to equip these leaders with tools to mobilize their communities. One key resource was <a href="https://www.vianations.org/resources/explore-the-world-christian-lifestyle" rel="follow">Explore the World Christian Lifestyle</a>, a 7-lesson study covering the basics of God's word, world, and work. Each participant left Arise Asia with a deeper understanding of God&rsquo;s heart for those who have not yet heard the gospel and a commitment to make a difference in their own neighborhoods.

Indonesia: Equipping Students for Gospel Impact

In July 2024, Via inspired 700 students at an Arise Asia conference in Indonesia, using resources like the Explore study to help them see their role in God&rsquo;s Great Commission. One student shared, &ldquo;I never understood how deeply God cares about reaching those who haven&rsquo;t heard the gospel.&rdquo; Following the event, leaders started <a href="https://www.vianations.org/resources/explore-the-world-christian-lifestyle" rel="follow">Explore</a> studies in 13 cities across Indonesia.

Nepal: Breaking Barriers and Expanding Reach

In October 2024, Arise Asia hosted another conference in Nepal themed &ldquo;Beyond Barriers.&rdquo; Via translated 2,000 Explore studies into Nepali for the event, training 170 young adults to lead small discipleship groups. Over 1,100 of these studies were shared with churches, including two of Nepal&rsquo;s largest congregations, where members will use the materials to grow in their faith. Please pray for the 240 young adults in Nepal who are dedicating themselves to long-term cross-cultural missions, along with many others preparing for short-term trips. &nbsp;

A Wave of Gospel Transformation

The relationships formed at these conferences have the potential to grow into a network of change-makers. Riding this momentum, plans are underway for ten more conferences across Asia, including areas where sharing the gospel can be challenging. Via and Arise Asia are working together to provide training and resources, fueling this movement to bring hope and love through the gospel.
